Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Management of all ER issues for the business; using the ‘Managing People

Manual’ you will advise, guide and provide support to employees where necessary on all areas of disciplinary, grievance and appeals. You will also
provide coaching to managers to improve their knowledge and understanding and attend Manager’s meeting to communicate updates and training on HR
Topics.

 

  • Control of the Recruitment and onboarding process for the business, including management of our recruitment channels, agencies and platforms and control of all stages of the recruitment process.

You will also ensure thorough inductions and probationary periods are well managed and aligned with business expectation.

· You will control the absence management for the business, coordinating data to the board and supporting managers with issues of AWOL, long term sickness and Bradford factor scores.
· Provide a monthly payroll update to the Accounts and Finance teams regarding
HR changes to personnel
· Maintain the personnel files for the HR Team, ensuring GDPR compliance and
up to date information.
· Control the Wellness strategy for the business, ensuring there is some activity is
delivered each month and the Wellness Champions are supported and guided
in their endeavours.
· Collating HR reports weekly to the HR Director/Head of Stores and monthly to
the Board, reviewing the analytics for trends and issues; highlighting areas of
focus, and supporting with idea for improvements.
· Providing analysis of our Perkbox benefit scheme, ensuring starters/leavers are
actioned and it is promoted within stores.
· Control of the Kronos T&A system from a HR perspective, ensuring
starters/leavers are actioned and training delivered.
· Management of the Employee Forum; attend all meetings, ensuring the quality
of content and topics is discussed and fed back to the Board
· Carry out note taking duties as and when required to support the relevant
Manager.
Ensure accurate records are maintained electronically and all notes are
distributed in a timely manner
· Update and maintain the HR section of the website and intranet and
communicate these updates to all staff, look for opportunities to improve our
exposure with the latest digital technology
· Actively seek to maintain a good knowledge of employment law and legislative
updates, use this information to review and update our internal policies and
procedures and Handbook
· Completion of the weekly HR Newsletter to the business, inclusive of all relevant
updates and changes within the business.
· Issue Contracts of Employment, Pay review letters, Probationary outcome
letters and reference requests amongst other ad hoc documentation as and
when required
· To carry out HR Project work as and when required in line with Business needs
· To carry out any other ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the business.
