Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability
Developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers making sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
Prepare specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, or systems related to the generation, transmission, or use of mechanical or fluid energy.
Provide technical support to other employees regarding mechanical design, fabrication, testing, or documentation.
Predictive and Preventive manitenance schedule preparation and implementation
Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform any other task assigned by line Manager.
