Perform routine monitoring and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Diagnose and escalate network issues and coordinate with various stakeholders such as engineering team, field support team, upstream and LDIs to resolve them.
Ensure closure of issues via email/phone correspondence with various stakeholders.
Proactively identify, diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot issues with IP/Data/MPLS VPN customers.
Carry out the configuration of the various network element to ensure service provisioning as per customer requirement.
Install new hardware or components, while ensuring with existing network systems.
Analyze the processes and recommend improvements.
Document issues and solution into an incident management tool.
Work with and mentor team members through professional behavior and knowledge sharing.
Analyze Syslog messages to identify and resolve problems quickly.
Creating SOPs to enhance the productivity of network operations.
Ensure compliance with all the applicable policies, procedures and controls of the Information Security Management System.
Voice
Planning, integration & monitoring of Cybernet core voice infrastructure.
Acts as a point of escalation for service integration, testing & delivery with upstream interconnect partners & service partners.
Services design & configurations of SIP to PSTN gateways (SS7, PRI, FXS or FXO).
Ensure analysis of daily trends and performance reports to identify and remove systemic or foreseeing issues.
Coordination with customers for first-time integration of voice services & works support tickets along with the Customer Support team to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
Document new processes, document troubleshooting steps, user guides, and LL or HL network diagrams.
Work with network tools or scripts to monitor and automate infrastructure for high-quality service delivery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Network monitoring, support, and administration experience, preferably from the ISP industry.
Understanding of technologies like VLSM, Static routing, OSPF, BGP, RIP, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Layer2 switching, tunneling protocols.
Certifications: CCNA/CCNP R&S preferred.
Networking: OSI Layer, Knowledge of Switches, Routers, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP Suite.
Ability to work in teams and independently with candid professional attitude and excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
Expertise in Linux/Unix with scripting on programming languages will be preferred.
Willing to work in shifts environment (24x7).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with focused and result-oriented personality.
Strong concepts of IP routing & network designing.
Knowledge and experience in configuration of major open-source VoIP applications (Asterisk), Linux & Databases servers would be a plus.
Good troubleshooting & problem-solving skills and understanding of complex scenarios and their root cause.
